Reopening of Colruyt d’Anderlues: a refurbished shop focused on sustainable choices

Optimised fresh market and modernised butcher’s section

On Wednesday 5 June 2024, Colruyt Meilleurs Prix d’Anderlues will be reopening on rue de la Station after several weeks of refurbishment work. The butcher’s section has been completely refurbished, the bread section modernised and the parapharmaceutical range has been greatly extended. On renovating the shop, particular attention was paid to customer experience and the sustainability of the infrastructure. The icing on the cake: a new Collect&Go point where customers can pick up their online shopping.

Optimised store and modernised butcher’s section

With an optimised shelf layout and 1,423 m² of retail space, customers at Colruyt d’Anderlues are sure to find their shopping more enjoyable and efficient. Store manager Jean-Philippe Flamand explains: “By grouping charcuterie and meat together in the butcher’s section, we’ve saved space in the fresh food area, which now holds 159 new products. In the butcher’s section, the self-service counter has been replaced by closed, transparent refrigerators, which emit less CO2. Customers can see our butchers at work in an open area, which makes it easier to talk to them if they have any questions or want to place specific orders.”

The store also has a more modern bread section and a greatly extended parapharmaceutical range.

Book your shopping with Collect&Go

In Anderlues, customers now have a Collect&Go pick-up point. Collect&Go is a handy shopping service provided by Colruyt Group. Customers submit their shopping list via collectandgo.be or on the app, and employees then prepare their products at the pick-up point, ready for the day and time the customer chooses.

Special focus on sustainability

Colruyt d’Anderlues is a store with low energy consumption. It is fully equipped with LED lighting and motion detectors, providing energy savings of 30%. The building recovers heat emitted by the refrigeration systems and reuses no less than 75% of the heat from the ventilation system. Solar panels on the roof provide the store with green energy. All these measures enable Colruyt to optimise its energy consumption and reduce its carbon footprint.

The 127-space car park is equipped with six charging points for electric vehicles and ten racks for bicycles or cargo bikes.

Open evening on Tuesday 4 June

Store manager Jean-Philippe Flamand concludes: “Along with my team of 23 employees and 8 butchers, we just can’t wait to welcome our customers back. We’re inviting everyone to take a sneak preview of the renovated store at our opening on the evening of Tuesday 4 June from 5 to 8 p.m. Everyone is welcome!”
