Reopening Colruyt Hooglede: broader product range in larger, more sustainable store 

The Colruyt Lowest Prices store in Hooglede will reopen its doors on Wednesday 8 May 2024. With its sales surface expanded to 2,039 m², the store on Ieperstraat will offer a wider product range. During the renovations, Colruyt focused on improving shopping experience efficiency for customers and enhancing the sustainability of the store infrastructure.

More than 2400 extra products

The renovated Colruyt Lowest Prices store in Hooglede is 350 m² larger than the previous store and offers customers a wider range of quality products at the lowest prices. Store manager Amelie Malfait: "About 400 products have been added to our food range and some 2,000 products to our non-food range. We have ten additional chest-type freezers and the renovated butcher shop boasts an open workshop where you will also find all sliced cold meat and veggie products.” The shopping route has been optimised to make shopping more pleasant and efficient.

Extra focus on sustainability

The store in Hooglede has energy-efficient LED lights with sensors everywhere, saving up to 30% energy. The residual heat from cooling is recovered and the ventilation system reuses as much as 75% of the heat. The butcher's shop is equipped with a closed, energy-efficient cooling system. Solar panels on the store's roof provide green electricity. With all these measures, Colruyt wants to optimise its energy consumption and reduce its CO₂impact. A charging station for two electric vehicles has also been provided on the car park.

Collect&Go does your shopping for you

Customers will also have a completely renewed collection point of Collect&Go, Colruyt Group's online shopping service, at their disposal in Hooglede. Customers send their shopping lists to collectandgo.be or through the app and co-workers have their products ready at the collection point by the day and time of their choice.

Open house evening on Tuesday 7 May

Store manager Amelie Malfait: “Our whole team is looking forward to welcoming back our customers. We are happy to invite them to be the first to discover the renewed store during our open house from 17 p.m. to 20 p.m. on Tuesday 7 May.”

Colruyt Group unveils a brand-new scheme: families who train at Jims build up credit towards their fruit and veg at Colruyt

With the new Move & Save membership, Colruyt Meilleurs Prix and Jims combine physical activity and healthy eating in a single integrated package. For €14.99 a week, a family of up to three people can train as often as they like at Jims. If the family completes three training sessions during the week, they will receive €5 in Xtra shopping credit to spend on fresh fruit and vegetables. The scheme will launch on 15 September at Jims clubs in Ghent Rooigem, Hasselt and Nivelles, and the credit will be valid in all Colruyt stores.
