On Wednesday 5 July 2023, a new Colruyt Lowest Prices store will open its doors on Morkhovenseweg in Noorderwijk (Herentals). Colruyt Lowest Prices converted a former Alvo store into a Colruyt store that enables customers to shop comfortably and efficiently at the lowest prices. With a surface area of nearly 1,200 m², an extensive product range and six checkout lanes, this new store in Noorderwijk is all set to welcome customers.
A pleasant and efficient shopping experience
Colruyt Noorderwijk is a spacious store with a wide range of quality products at the lowest prices. Store manager Xavier Van den Bremt: "Food and non-food products - from major brands or private labels like Boni Selection and Everyday, you'll find everything you need." There are six checkouts for a smooth shopping experience, 80 parking spaces and a charging station for two electric cars.
Extensive range of fresh produce
The renewed store boasts a freshmart that offers an even wider selection of products such as fruit and vegetables, salads, cheese or ready-made meals. "Customers will also find plenty of tasty products in the self-service butcher's offer," Van den Bremt says. "Besides fresh meat, you will also find catered meals, charcuterie and even fish and vegetarian alternatives. All prepackaged in convenient portions."
Focus on sustainability
As always, Colruyt focused on sustainability when building Colruyt Noorderwijk. The store and car park have LED lights everywhere, which use 30 % less energy. Energy use is optimised further with solar panels on the roof. In addition, the CO2 footprint of the cooling equipment is reduced by more than 95 % through the use of propane.
