The Colruyt Lowest Prices store in Schoten will reopen its doors on Wednesday, 12 June 2024. The store on the Paalstraat was completely redesigned to allow customers to shop more efficiently. The butcher’s section and bread cabinet also received a makeover. During the renovation, Colruyt paid close attention to making the store’s infrastructure more sustainable.
Welcome back to Collect&Go
Customers can also start using the Collect&Go collection point in Schoten once again. Collect&Go is Colruyt Group’s convenient online shopping service. Customers send in their shopping list via collectandgo.be, the Xtra app, or the Collect&Go app, and store employees have their products ready at the collection point by the day and time of their choice. Or customers can have their groceries delivered to their home by Drivers, private delivery drivers in the neighbourhood.
Extra focus on sustainability
The entire store in Schoten has energy-efficient LED lights that work using a sensor, meaning they save up to 30% energy. The residual heat from the cooling system is recovered and as much as 75% of the heat is reused by the ventilation system. Solar panels on the store’s roof provide green electricity. Colruyt aims to utilise all these measures to optimise its energy consumption and reduce its carbon footprint. A charging station for 2 electric cars has also been installed in the car park and 13 bike racks have been provided to secure 26 (delivery) bikes.

Store manager Hans Verachten: “We and the entire team of 40 store assistants and 11 butchers are looking forward to welcoming our customers back. We would therefore like to invite them to be the first to learn about the revamped store during our open house from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, 11 June.
