Colruyt Oostrozebeke opening: fully revamped store with sustainable choices

On Wednesday 12 July 2023, Colruyt Lowest Prices on the Ingelmunstersteenweg is ready for reopening. Besides the renovated butchery, lots of attention was paid to sustainability in terms of energy and mobility. Collect&Go in Oostrozebeke remains available but is now fully integrated in the store.

More than 1,600 m² of lowest prices

With its 1,600 m², the fully revamped Colruyt Oostrozebeke offers a wide range of quality products at the lowest prices. Manager Evi De Geyter: "In our large fresh market, we offer customers products such as fruit and vegetables, fish, cheese, veggie and ready-made meals. The fully renovated butchery supplies an extensive product selection, including a catering range. By the way, the self-service counter was replaced by transparent, sealed fridges with a much lower carbon footprint." The open workshop makes it easier for customers to approach the butchery staff with questions or special orders.

Integrated Collect&Go collection point

In Oostrozebeke, customers can still pick up the groceries ordered via Collect&Go. The collection point is now fully integrated into the store. Collect&Go is Colruyt Group's convenient online shopping service. Customers send in their shopping list via collectandgo.be or via the app, and staff make sure the products are ready to be collected at a chosen time.

Ample parking for a smooth store visit

Moving the Collect&Go collection point also made it possible to redesign the car park. The 140 parking spaces are now more easily accessible. Two charging stations were also installed for three electric cars. A covered bicycle parking with 8 bicycle stands provides room for 16 bicycles, for safe and dry storage.

Sustainability all the way

The store in Oostrozebeke uses only LED lamps, saving up to 30 % energy thanks to a sensor, while no less than 75 % of the heat is recovered from the ventilation system. On the store's roof, solar panels provide green electricity. And to relieve the sewerage system during heavy rainfall, rainwater is collected so that it can later seep quietly into the ground.
