New Spar Colruyt Group in Kermt opens on 30 November
With an extensive range of fresh and on-the-go products

Spar Colruyt Group opens a store in Kermt on Thursday 30 November. The local supermarket has now been fully renovated in the same style as the newest generation of Spar stores, with a strong focus on fresh, local and on-the-go products. At the helm is Ronny Vandeweijer, who is already looking forward to offering customers a taste of excellent customer service, a great shopping experience and the familiar Spar quality.
Focus on fresh and on-the-go products
Just like the other Spar stores, they attach a lot of importance to tasty and fresh products in Kermt. The 673 m² store surface will be filled by, among other things, a bakery with on-site risen buns and baguettes. In addition, customers can go there 7/7 for a large offer of fresh meat and fish products, a spacious vegetable and fruit department and a broad assortment of sliced cold meat and cheese.
"We mainly focus on the fresh department. And customers can also come to us for local products," entrepreneur Ronny Vandeweijer explains. With his 32 years of experience in entrepreneurship, he is really looking forward to this challenge. “We also have a range of tasty on-the-go products for those who don't have a lot of time. There's something to suit every taste, from cold meal salads to packaged wraps," Ronny comments.
Customer at centre stage
The design of the new Spar neighbourhood supermarket in Kermt is all about customers' shopping convenience. The interior creates a feeling of open space.
Spar Kermt welcomes everyone to do their everyday shop, big or small. Ronny wants people to be able to feel right at home in the store. Quality and customer-friendliness are top priorities.
A focus on quality and sustainability
Like Colruyt Group's other store formulas, Spar attaches great importance to sustainable construction, ensuring the lowest possible environmental impact. Something they are also strongly committed to in Spar Kermt. “We have invested in solar panels and the refrigeration system runs on renewable energy," Ronny says. The car park is also equipped with two charging posts for electric vehicles.
Festive opening and great discounts
Everyone is welcome to attend the festive opening reception on Wednesday 29 November from 18 to 21 h. Customers can explore the new store while enjoying snacks and drinks. What’s more, there are some amazing opening-week offers and discounts in the special opening folder.
