Colruyt Lowest Prices kicks off the festival season with a festival route and secret stage

Wednesday, June 18, 2025

Once again this year, Colruyt Lowest Prices is ready to welcome festivalgoers with all their essentials at the lowest prices via the specially designed festival route in local stores. Belgium’s only remaining fully Belgian retailer is once again joining forces with several Belgian festivals. At a number of Colruyt car parks, visitors can soak up the festival atmosphere and win prizes that will make their festival experience even more unforgettable. Things kick off at the Mol store, the closest branch for Graspop fans. During the entire festival summer, 11 different Colruyt stores will jump on the festival bandwagon.

Efficient shopping route and unique prizes

On Wednesday 18 June, Colruyt Lowest Prices kicks off the festival season in the lead-up to Graspop. To get everyone properly warmed up, a secret stage will appear that day in the car park of the Colruyt store in Mol. Those up for it can take part in a fun on-stage competition for a chance to win a fully stocked festival trolley. It’s packed with food products as well as exclusive Colruyt gadgets — perfect for the campsite. Festivalgoers heading to Dour (16/07) and Zonhoven (14/08) will also get their shot at the secret stage fun, just before Dour and Pukkelpop.

Last year during the Dour festival week, more than 16,000 cans of Cara Pils were sold, nearly 4,000 cans of Rodeo energy drink, and over 6,000 bottles of Everyday still water. Everyday sandwiches sold twice as well as usual.

As is now tradition, customers visiting Colruyt stores near the festivals can discover the festival route in-store. They’ll be guided efficiently past the most popular festival products at the lowest prices. Think (alcohol-free) Cara Pils, Aïki noodles, sun cream and condoms. Anyone can follow the route, and with a stamp card acting as a festival guide, there’s a unique Colruyt gadget to be won.

Unique work and shopping experience

The Zonhoven store is entering its third festival season. That unique festival vibe is also unforgettable for Colruyt staff every year, says Tim Verkammen, store manager at Colruyt Zonhoven: “The hustle and bustle that Pukkelpop brings always creates a unique atmosphere. We reorganise the store for the festival and guide our customers efficiently past all the key products at the lowest prices. After all these years, we know exactly what they’re looking for. The most popular items are delivered by the pallet so we too can work quickly, efficiently and ergonomically. Top sellers during the festival period are Cara Pils and Cara rouge, but the Aïki noodles chicken also pass very regularly at our box office."

To enhance the atmosphere in the car parks of many of the Colruyt festival stores, Colruyt is teaming up with various suppliers. Between the Zonhoven Colruyt and the Pukkelpop site, for example, golf carts will be provided to deliver groceries at the lowest prices directly to the campsite.
