The Colruyt store in Lier has been fully revamped and redecorated. Store manager Gerrit Van Leekwijck: "We renewed and expanded the fresh market, allowing customers to enjoy an even bigger assortment of fresh fruit and vegetables, cheeses, prepared dishes and fish. The large butcher's department with self-service was also renewed. You can see our qualified butchers at work in an open workshop. They cut and pack fresh meat on the spot. If you have questions or special orders, it's easy to address them directly." The new store layout makes shopping even more pleasant and efficient.
Sustainable choices
During the renovation, sustainability has been taken into account. Colruyt Group is continuously investing in more efficiency: this also applies to the new store in Lier. For example, rainwater is being used for cleaning and flushing the toilets. Solar panels generate energy for the store, which runs on green electricity. Thanks to good insulation, ventilation, lighting, cooling and heating, the store is very energy-efficient. The car park has bicycle racks, extra spacious parking spots for carrier bikes and two charging posts for electric vehicles.
Everything under one roof
The renewed Colruyt Lowest Prices store is located on a site with other formulas of the Colruyt Group: DATS 24, Dreamland, Dreambaby and Collect&Go. Customers can easily combine their weekly grocery shopping with other purchases, and fill up their gas tanks too.
