Reopening of Colruyt Molenbeek

On Wednesday, 14 August 2024, Colruyt Lowest Prices in Molenbeek will be reopening its doors after several weeks of renovation works. The store has been optimised, with a large fresh market, a wider range of pre-packaged fresh meat, and a new parapharmacy section. During the renovation, particular attention was paid to the sustainability of the infrastructure.

A wider range of products and a new parapharmacy section

With an optimised shelf layout and 1,570 m² of retail space, customers at Colruyt Molenbeek are sure to find their shopping even more enjoyable and efficient. Store manager Eric Jeangout explains: “The store’s shelves have been reorganised to offer as many products as possible. Customers will find around 600 additional products, including 150 in the fresh market and a host of specialities in the charcuterie range. The pre-packaged fresh meat range has been expanded and relocated.” The store also has a new parapharmacy section.

Book your shopping with Collect&Go

The Collect&Go collection point at Colruyt Molenbeek is also reopening its doors. Collect&Go is a handy shopping service provided by Colruyt Group. Customers send in their shopping list via collectandgo.be or the Xtra app, and store assistants have their products ready at the collection point by the day and time of their choice.

Special focus on sustainability

Colruyt has also invested in sustainability when renovating its Molenbeek store. The building is fully equipped with LED lighting and motion detectors, providing energy savings of 30%. It also features a heat recovery system for the heat produced by the refrigerators, What’s more, this facility uses propane as its refrigerant, a gas that contributes virtually nothing to the greenhouse effect. All these measures enable Colruyt to optimise its energy consumption and reduce its carbon footprint. Lastly, the car park is equipped with two charging points for four electric vehicles and six extra-large bicycle racks for bicycles or cargo bikes.

Open evening on Tuesday, 13 August

Store manager Eric Jeangout concludes: “Along with my team of 35 co-workers, I can’t wait to welcome our customers back. We’re inviting customers to a sneak preview of the refurbished store at our open evening on Tuesday, 13 August, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Everyone’s welcome!”
