On Friday 12 May, OKay Zwevegem reopens its doors after undergoing a thorough facelift. The local supermarket with a surface of 592 m² has been renovated in the style of the latest generation of OKay stores, with a refurbished freshmart, additional cooling cabinets and a revamped bread corner, among other things. Store manager Patrick Duyck and his team look forward to welcoming their customers again.
Focus on fresh products and daily fresh bread
Thanks to the fresh and modern interior, customers of OKay Zwevegem can now find their way even more easily in the wide range of fresh products. "In the renewed freshmart our extensive range of fresh fruit and vegetables can stand out completely", says store manager Patrick. "We placed extra refrigeration units just outside the freshmart, so that we can showcase our fresh high-quality products even better."
In OKay Zwevegem, the store co-workers bake off quality bread, breakfast rolls and buns on site every day. "They are now even more neatly displayed in our renewed bread unit. Much more convenient for our customers", Patrick explains.
Top team from the region
All these novelties and improvements will contribute to a more pleasant shopping experience and make shopping even more efficient. But the biggest asset of OKay Zwevegem is undoubtedly the wonderful team of store co-workers. "Every day, I can count on a great team of 13 motivated colleagues. All of them people from the area, for whom customer friendliness, good service and helpfulness always come first.”
Easy to reach by car and bicycle
OKay Zwevegem is situated quite practically, along a major access road and at cycling distance from the village centre: easily reachable for everyone. The spacious and easily accessible car park offers room for 48 cars, and has two charging stations for electric cars. In the bicycle shed, cargo bikes can also be secured.
Minimal environmental impact
Like the other Colruyt Group store formats, OKay attaches great importance to building and renovating sustainably and with a minimum ecological footprint. No gas or fuel oil is used at OKay Zwevegem. All energy is generated by our own solar panels and the store's eco-friendly cooling emits 90% less CO2 than traditional cooling installations. Also, the heat released by the refrigeration system is recovered to heat the store.
