On Friday 6 November, Okay will open a brand-new store in Nevele. Located on Gezusters Lovelingstraat, this convenient neighbourhood supermarket offers customers a wide range of products for every moment of the day, including a great selection of freshly baked bread, delicious pastries and fresh fruit and vegetables. The store covers 523 m² and has been built using sustainable techniques and material. Store manager Sophie Polfliet and her team of 7 co-workers are already looking forward to welcoming their new customers.
Convenience and freshness
The neighbourhood supermarket is part of the latest generation of Colruyt Group's Okay stores and features a fresh, modern design. Customers will find everything they need under one roof, from fresh meat, fish, and vegetarian options, to ready meals and main-course salads. The store also stocks newspapers, magazines, gift hampers and more. Three self-service checkouts make it quick and easy for customers to scan and pay for their shopping.
The range of fresh products is one of Okay's greatest strengths. "In our freshmart, the wide aisles make for a pleasant shopping experience. Customers can easily browse our extensive range of deliciously fresh fruit and vegetables. Just outside the freshmart, there's a chilled tapas display unit offering everything you need for a lovely evening of drinks and nibbles, with meat, fish and vegetarian options to choose from. We have something to suit every taste," says store manager Sophie.
Okay Nevele is the 157th Okay store in Belgium. Fresh bread is delivered daily, and the store's co-workers bake off much of the bread range on site[JB1] . High-quality pastries and bread rolls also come fresh out of the oven several times a day. "Our bakery section has been designed with ergonomics and a clear layout in mind, making it extremely user-friendly for both customers and staff." The frozen food section features chest freezers with glass lids, making it quick and easy for customers to find their favourite products.
Promotions and discounts
As always, customers shopping at Okay are guaranteed the lowest prices in the neighbourhood. With Xtra, they can also enjoy additional promotions, which are applied automatically after scanning the Xtra app at the checkout.
Minimal environmental impact
Like all other store formats within Colruyt Group, Okay places great importance on sustainable construction, aiming to minimise its environmental impact. "Our store uses neither gas nor heating oil," Sophie explains. "Our environmentally friendly refrigeration system emits 90% less CO₂ than a conventional system, and we recover heat from the refrigeration and ventilation systems to keep the store warm."
Easy to reach
The new Okay store is located on Gezusters Lovelingstraat, a wide main road close to the centre of Nevele. The easily accessible car park has space for 45 cars. Customers arriving by bike can use the cycle parking area, which also has space for cargo bikes.
Festive opening
Okay Nevele will celebrate its opening on 6 and 7 November. During the opening celebrations, customers can look forward to food trucks, tastings galore and fantastic opening discounts.
