Refurbished Okay Rebecq reopens on 25 March as a sustainable neighbourhood supermarket

Refreshed freshmart and redesigned checkout area

On Wednesday 25 March, Okay Rebecq, located on Chaussée de Mons, will reopen its doors following refurbishment works. The neighbourhood supermarket, with a total retail surface of 640 m², has been redesigned in line with the latest generation of Okay stores. The freshmart and checkout area have been revamped, making shopping even easier and more pleasant. The refurbishment also strongly focused on minimising environmental impact. Store manager Dimitri Legros and his team look forward to welcoming customers again, with tastings on 25 and 26 March and food trucks on 27 and 28 March.

Focus on fresh products

Thanks to its fresh and modern layout, customers at Okay Rebecq can easily find their way around the varied range of fresh products. “In the freshmart, it is easy to choose from our wide selection of fruit and vegetables, dairy products, meat, cold cuts, fish and ready-made meals, all freshly prepared as customers expect from Okay,” says store manager Dimitri. “Just outside the freshmart, we have installed additional refrigerated units offering a wide selection of meat, fish and vegetarian snacks for enjoyable aperitif moments with family or friends.”

Clear and organised bread corner

At Okay Rebecq, store employees bake quality bread, pastries and rolls several times a day. These can all be found in the clearly organised bakery area.“Every day, a dedicated team of motivated colleagues is ready to assist our customers,” Dimitri adds. “They are all committed to customer friendliness, excellent service and helpfulness.”

Minimal environmental impact

Like the other Colruyt Group store formats, Okay places great importance on sustainable construction, with the lowest possible environmental impact. Okay Rebecq now runs entirely on green electricity, with no use of gas or fuel oil. “Our environmentally friendly refrigeration system emits 90% less CO₂ than traditional cooling installations. In addition, the heat generated is reused to heat the store.”

Easy to reach

Okay Rebecq is conveniently located on Chaussée de Mons and is conveniently located for everyone. The spacious and easily accessible car park offers 67 parking spaces, including 2 charging points for electric vehicles. A DATS 24 filling station is also located near the store, allowing customers to easily combine affordable shopping with cost-efficient refuelling.
