OKay Duffel reopens after thorough facelift

On Friday 14 February, OKay Duffel opens its doors again after a thorough facelift. The store dates from 2007 and was renovated in the style of second-generation OKay neighbourhood supermarkets. This means it has a refurbished freshmart and a new bread corner.

Fresh products and daily fresh bread in the spotlight

OKay Duffel was closed for only 9 days to be thoroughly overhauled. The renovated store is fresh and modern. "It allows us to serve our customers even better and to play our spearheads better", says store manager Soufian Zerrad. "In the freshmart for instance, our broad range of fresh fruit and vegetables can really stand out. We also offer fresh bread and our co-workers bake high-quality rolls and buns in the new bread corner every day. We notice that our customers pick us to buy their daily fresh bread and our broad range of fresh products such as vegetables, meat and dairy. The renovations help us to put this assortment in the spotlight."

The check-out posts were adapted to serve the customers even more smoothly. The car park has room for 37 cars.

Loyal customers

Over the years, OKay Duffel gained loyal customers, local residents as well as passers-by. "They value our broad range of products, our friendly co-workers and the lowest prices in the neighbourhood", says Soufian. "My 12 co-workers and I want to continue on this line in our renovated store."
