4 New Okay Stores with Bon'Ap Department Will Open in East and West Flanders

In the coming months, some East and West Flanders Comarkt stores will open as their final Colruyt Group destination, Okay. Notably, each of these stores will also feature a Bon'Ap department, adding a fresh dimension to the shopping experience. The first shop-in-shop concept will launch in Machelen (Zulte), at the store on Rijksweg, opening its doors on 5 November. A month later, the opening of the Okay in De Haan is scheduled to open. In spring 2026, branch stores in Mariakerke and Wachtebeke will follow suit, each combining Okay with Bon'Ap.

From Comarkt to Okay with Bon'Ap

On 5 November, the Comarkt store in Machelen will reopen as an Okay store with a Bon'Ap department. The former Comarkt in Machelen already housed a Buurtslagers counter, part of the Meat&More group, which also includes Bon'Ap.

Christophe Dehandschutter, Director of Okay, explains: “The final destinations of our Comarkt stores have been known for some time. In East and West Flanders, some Comarkt stores will reopen as Okay in the coming months. In four of these stores, we will partner with Bon'Ap. Alongside Okay's trusted range, customers will also find Bon'Ap's extensive offering, including freshly prepared sandwiches, charcuterie, fresh meat and ready-made meals. Together, we are offering our customers a selection that showcases the strengths of both partners.”

Two partners, one checkout, many familiar faces

Customers will be welcomed and served by familiar faces they know from their former Comarkt stores. Bon'Ap staff also previously worked at Buurtslagers, though some new faces will be joining.

Promotions and Discounts

As always, Okay guarantees customers shopping at the lowest prices in the neighbourhood. With Xtra, customers enjoy additional promotions, automatically applied when scanning the Xtra app or card at checkout. Bon'Ap also offers weekly deals and discount coupons.

Festive opening

The grand opening of Okay and Bon'Ap in Machelen will take place on 5 and 6 November. On both days, customers can enjoy food trucks and tastings. Therefore, opening discounts on both Okay and Bon'Ap products apply.
