The brand-new Colruyt Courcelles is twice as large as the former store
On Wednesday 7 October, a brand-new Colruyt Lowest Prices opens its doors along Rue de Trazegnies in Courcelles. The store's surface is twice as large compared to the former store, which means we can offer a broader range of products. A few novelties: a self-service butcher's department and a Collect&Go pick-up point. The result: 13 new co-workers, among whom 7 butchers, will reinforce the team. The car park, which is twice as large as before, makes it easy for customers to park their car when they come shopping. As icing on the cake, the new low-energy store is equipped with solar panels and charging posts for electric cars and bikes.

Pleasant shopping on more than 1,600 m²
The former Colruyt store in Courcelles had become too small to shop efficiently and needed overhauling. Store manager Jean-Philippe Flamand: "It was high time to move and build a larger Colruyt store in Courcelles. Since the surface has almost doubled, we can offer our customers a larger range of products from now on, especially in the freshmarket and the frozen products department. The store's surface covers no less than 1,606 m² as compared to 878 m² in the old store." The former Colruyt along Rue Carnière is converted into an OKay, Colruyt Group's local store chain.
Butcher's department with open workshop
Customers can choose their fresh quality meat at the self-service butcher's department. Head butcher Rino Bruno: "Our butchers cut the fresh meat on the spot in an open workshop. This means customers can easily ask them help or advice. For a better overview of our assortment, they can find meat, cold slices meat and salads together at the butcher's department."
A Collect&Go pick-up point at Courcelles
The new Colruyt store in Courcelles is also equipped with a Collect&Go pick-up point. This is the biggest difference with the old store. The store manager explains: "We have a Collect&Goi pick-up point for people who do not have time to shop. Collect&Go is Colruyt Group's online shopping service. Customers can fill their shopping basket online at collectandgo.be or with the app. Collect&Go co workers collect the groceries and put them ready at the pick-up point on the chosen day and time."
A future-oriented store
When building the new store in Courcelles, Colruyt made several sustainable choices such as solar panels on the roof and no more fossil fuels. The large car park has 141 parking places and a bicycle shed equipped with charging posts for cars and bikes.
