Solucious acquires wholesaler Délidis

Colruyt Group's food service specialist Solucious has reached an agreement with Peeters-Govers Group to acquire 100% of the shares of Délidis. Solucious operates as a wholesaler, supplying food products to professional customers throughout Belgium. Délidis operates in a large part of Flanders and is known as a leading supplier of (ultra)fresh products to professional customers from the hospitality industry. Both brands will continue to co-exist side by side and will strengthen each other, each drawing from their unique identity. The acquisition of Délidis aligns with Solucious' ambition to continue its growth within the hospitality industry. This also fits with Colruyt Group's long-term strategy, which sees considerable growth potential in the B2B market.

Last year, Solucious celebrated its tenth anniversary. Over the last decade, it experienced strong growth as a national supplier for professional customers, focusing on hospitality businesses, hospitals, caterers, schools and (public) companies. Every day, 800 employees ensure the wide range of 13,000 products is made available to the more than 25,000 customers. The food service specialist has ambitions to further its growth, including through acquisitions. In early 2024, it acquired Valfrais, a major food service player in the south of our country with mainly hospitality customers in Wallonia and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

Johan Vermeire, General Manager B2B Food Retail at Colruyt Group: “Solucious wants to further its expansion, particularly in the hospitality segment. The acquisition of Délidis is therefore a logical step in enhancing our expertise within the rapidly consolidating Belgian food service market. Délidis is renowned for providing top-quality meat and for expertly cutting meat to suit customer preferences. Délidis also supplies fruit and vegetables of the highest standard and provides a high level of service to their customers. We are convinced that Solucious and Délidis will reinforce and complement each other. Both brands will therefore continue to exist, ensuring customers can continue to rely on their well-known service and product range.”

Jan Peeters and Wim Peeters of Peeters-Govers Group: “In recent years Délidis has grown to become a premium supplier of meat, fruit and vegetables for hospitality businesses in a large part of Flanders. We look forward to combining that expertise with that of Solucious, and to serve our customers even more effectively together. We are also pleased that our 83 employees can continue to be part of a family business, moving from Peeters-Govers Group to Solucious.”

In recent years, Colruyt Group has built up in-depth expertise within the B2B sector with a focus on four sectors: the hospitality industry, retailers, B2B2e and Health & Public. More information: Achieving growth in the b2b market | Colruyt Group. The

acquisition of Délidis by Solucious fits perfectly within its strategy for growth within the hospitality industry.
