Saint-Gilles welcomes the 38th Bio-Planet store

The place to be for pure, natural products and inspiration

On Wednesday, 23 October, Bio-Planet will open a new branch in Saint-Gillis, marking its 38th store in Belgium. This new supermarket, located in the heart of Brussels, offers a comprehensive selection of organic, pure, and 100% natural products. The store is designed for customers who seek a balanced lifestyle and prefer more sustainable consumption options.

A new store in a vibrant district of brussels

The new Bio-Planet, located at 71 Waterloosesteenweg in Saint-Gilles, is the ideal supermarket for those in search of pure, 100% natural products. It is the third Bio-Planet store to open following the acquisition of the Match stores by Colruyt Group. During the transformation of the store, careful consideration was given to which elements from the old supermarket could be retained to create the characteristic Bio-Planet atmosphere with a focus on sustainability.

The store will consistently offer an extensive range of organic fruits and vegetables, fresh bread, pre-packaged meat, cheese and cold cuts. Additionally, Bio-Planet provides a wide selection of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free products.

Store Manager Sophie Van Petegem and her enthusiastic team are ready to welcome customers and guide them around the new 550 m² store.

I am immensely proud that we have created an environment that inspires our customers to consume consciously and gives them the feeling of shopping at the market."
Sophie Van Petegem, Store Manager

Focus on quality and sustainability

Bio-Planet Saint-Gilles is firmly committed to offering quality, delicious products, with an emphasis on bulk and packaging-free options. In addition to fruits and vegetables, which are displayed similarly to a market setting, the store offers a variety of dried fruits, sweet and savoury snacks, chocolate, and coffee in bulk. Customers can bring their own jars or containers or use the reusable packaging available in-store. This approach aims to minimise unnecessary packaging and promote conscious consumption.

The store also features a beautiful collection of seasonal flowers and plants, all sustainably grown. From house and garden plants to fruit trees and shrubs, everything comes from 100% sustainable, local cultivation without chemical pesticides. These plants are delivered in recycled and recyclable packaging, thereby eliminating the need for additional packaging.

Products for everyone

Bio-Planet Saint-Gilles offers a diverse range of products to meet the specific needs of every customer: from sugar-free and high-fibre options to plant-based, alcohol-free, gluten-free, and lactose-free items. Thanks to clear product information and a wide selection, customers can easily find inspiration and discover new products tailored to their preferences or dietary needs.
