    "body": "<p><span class=\"rls-date\">Monday, June 2, 2025</span></p><p><strong>On Wednesday 4 June 2025, Colruyt Kelmis will reopen its doors after several weeks of renovation works. The store has undergone a thorough facelift, with special attention paid to customer experience and sustainability. The butcher&rsquo;s department has been completely refurbished, and a brand-new bread unit has been installed.</strong></p><h4 id=\"new-layout-and-wider-product-range\" ><strong>New layout and wider product range</strong></h4><p>Thanks to an optimised layout of the store shelves and a sales area of 887 m&sup2;, customers in Kelmis can now shop even more pleasantly and efficiently. Store manager Didier Mathieu explains: &ldquo;By bringing cold meats, fish, vegetarian products and meat together in the butcher&rsquo;s department, we have freed up extra space in the fresh market. This allows us to offer new products. We&rsquo;ve also expanded our frozen range with two additional freezer units. The refurbished butcher&rsquo;s department now features closed, transparent refrigerated units that emit less CO\u2082.&rdquo; \u200b It&rsquo;s also well worth discovering the brand-new bread unit.</p><h4 id=\"sustainability-at-the-heart-of-the-renovation\" ><strong>Sustainability at the heart of the renovation</strong></h4><p>Colruyt has also invested in more sustainable infrastructure. The entire store is equipped with energy-efficient LED lighting with motion sensors, which reduces energy consumption by 30%. In addition, an innovative system recovers no less than 75% of the heat from the refrigeration units to heat the store &ndash; resulting in a 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. All refrigerated units run on propane, a natural refrigerant that reduces CO\u2082 emissions by almost 90%. What&rsquo;s more, the store no longer uses any fossil fuels. All of these measures contribute to lower energy consumption and a reduced ecological footprint.</p><h4 id=\"festive-reopening-on-4-june\" ><strong>Festive reopening on 4 June</strong></h4><p>Store manager Didier Mathieu: <em>&ldquo;Together with my team of 12 co-workers, I&rsquo;m looking forward to welcoming our customers again. During the reopening week, we&rsquo;ll be offering plenty of tastings.
