Reopening Colruyt Haacht

Reopening Colruyt Haacht

renovated store focused on sustainability

Monday, February 16, 2026

On Wednesday 18 February 2026, the Colruyt Lowest Prices store in Haacht will reopen its doors. The store on Stationsstraat has been expanded and its range extended, allowing customers to enjoy an even more pleasant shopping experience at the lowest prices. The refurbishment also includes a renewed butcher’s department and a new bakery section. Sustainability was a key focus throughout the works. In the upgraded store, 22 shop employees and 3 butchery staff will be ready to welcome customers.

Larger sales area and renewed butcher’s department

Shopping at Colruyt Haacht is now even more comfortable thanks to the increased sales area. The store has been expanded to no less than 1,035 m², offering, among other things, a broader frozen food range. Customers will notice a few changes in the butcher’s department. The fish and veggie range from the fresh market has been integrated into the renewed butcher’s department. Store manager Ruben Vos explains: “From now on, customers will find cold cuts, pre-packed fresh meat, fish and vegetarian products all in one place. In addition, around 50 ready-made meals are prepared on site. Our butchery staff are always available to provide tips and additional information.” There is also a wider selection of freshly baked bread, and the bakery section has been redesigned to ensure optimal bread quality.

Extra focus on sustainability

Sustainable building is a key priority for Colruyt Group, and it was central to the renovation of Colruyt Haacht. The lighting has been replaced with energy-efficient LED lamps equipped with motion sensors, cutting energy use by up to 30%. As for heating, 75% of the residual heat from the refrigeration system is recovered via the ventilation system. Sustainability is also applied to the car park, which offers six bicycle stands for twelve bicycles and two charging points (one of which is a fast charger). The car park has a total of 57 parking spaces.

Festive reopening on 18 February

Store manager Ruben Vos adds: “Together with my team of 22 shop employees and 3 butchery staff, I look forward to welcoming our customers with food and drinks during the reopening week. In addition to our well-known tastings, plenty of other products will be available to sample. We warmly invite all customers to come and discover our store, and we'll be happy to assist them.”
