Renovated Spar Zwevegem opens its doors on 11 February

On Thursday 11 February, the Spar Colruyt Group store in Zwevegem reopens. The store was closed 3 weeks for renovation work. The new store has become much larger. Indeed, the next-door building was integrated with the new store concept. Thanks to this extra room, it was possible to expand the fresh products department and the bakery. The checkout area was also adapted to the consumer's needs. To celebrate the opening, all customers will receive a free bottle of cava when they buy for 35 euros or more from 11 to 14 February included.
Freshly baked bread and a larger store
The sales surface was extended from 720 to 820 m². The spacious car park remained the same and has 92 parking places. The revamped store looks fresh and modern and was fixed up according to the new generation Spar local supermarkets style. There is more room now to expand the range of products. The bakery received a proper make-over. The dough for rolls, baguettes and breakfast buns now rises in the store in new proofing cabinets. Every day, fresh bread, fresh desserts (rice pies, turnovers, etc.) and fresh buns are baked. Thanks to this new set-up, customers of Spar Zwevegem can enjoy a large range of daily fresh bread, rolls, etc.
Focus on fresh
Spar Zwevegem focuses on the fresh products department, the showpiece of independent entrepreneurs David Lefebre and Madolyn Plowy. "A crate of beer is the same everywhere, but with fresh products, you can really stand out." The fruit and vegetables department represents freshness and quality, and the butchery is another of their assets. David started as a butcher in a large supermarket, but chose to become an independent entrepreneur in Zwevegem 7.5 years ago. "It is nice to be allowed to complete the assortment with regional products and specialities."
Customer-friendliness first
The main asset of Spar Zwevegem is certainly the customer-friendliness with which David, Madolyn and the entire team welcome their customers. Every day, the 12 co workers, who all live in the region, receive their customers as well as new people with a smile. Spar Zwevegem thanks all the people for their confidence and is looking forward to welcoming them again as from 11 February. All corona measures in force will of course be complied with.
