Renovated Colruyt Kontich opens on 28 March

On Wednesday 28 March, the renovated Colruyt store in Kontich will open its doors again after a few months of renovation work. The store has been expanded by a quarter of its original size and restyled into a new-generation Colruyt store. It now has a brand-new self-service butcher's department, and a larger fresh market and frozen products department.

A quarter larger

"During closure we expanded the store to 2,300 m²", says store manager Michaël Cluts. "This allowed us to expand the fresh and frozen products departments and add 4 extra cash registers." Moreover, the entire store has been reorganised to become a new-generation Colruyt store. Customers can now shop even more efficiently in a more congenial store. Michaël Cluts: "When making renovations, we always aim for simplicity and the lowest costs, as our customers expect of us."

Brand-new butcher's department

Customers can choose their fresh quality meat in the self-service butcher's counters. Head butcher Yves De Clerck: "The butchers cut the fresh meat on the spot. Customers can see the butchers at work in an open workshop and talk to them if they have questions or a special order. In the new butcher's department, customers also have a nice overview of the range of meat, cold cuts and salads."

Larger Collect&Go pick-up point

To serve customers even better, the Collect&Go pick-up point at Colruyt Kontich has been expanded and renovated. "Collect&Go is a handy Colruyt Group service, where we shop for the customers", says the store manager. "They send their shopping list to collectandgo.be or via the app, and the Collect&Go employees have their products ready at the pick-up point on the day and time of their choice. Handy!"

Special open evening

From Wednesday 28 March, store manager Michaël Cluts, head butcher Yves De Clerck and their 62 employees will be on hand to welcome customers at the renovated Colruyt Kontich. Michaël Cluts: "The evening before, on Tuesday 27 March from 5 to 8 pm, everyone is invited for a store preview. During this special open house, customers will be offered snacks and a drink. Everyone is most welcome!"
