New-generation store

"During closure, we expanded the store" says store manager Sven Verhelst. "This allowed us to enlarge the fresh products department and add 3 cash registers.” Moreover the store was completely rearranged to enable customers to shop more efficiently in nicer surroundings. Sven Verhelst: "When making renovations, we always aim at simplicity and the lowest costs, as our customers expect of us."

Butcher's department with open workshop

Customers can choose their fresh quality meat in the brand-new self-service butcher's shop. "The butchers cut the fresh meat on the spot", says head butcher Kurt Frooninckx. Customers can see the butchers at work in an open workshop and talk to them if they have questions or a special order. In the new butcher's department, customers also have a nice overview of the range of meat, cold cuts and salads."

Bigger Collect&Go pick-up point

To serve customers even better, the Collect&Go pick-up point at Colruyt Bornem has been expanded and renovated. “Collect&Go is a handy Colruyt Group service where we shop for the customers", says the store manager. "They send their shopping list to collectandgo.be or via the app, and the Collect&Go employees have their products ready at the pick-up point on the day and time of their choice.”

Special open evening

Store manager Sven Verhelst, head butcher Kurt Frooninckx and their 69 employees are looking forward to welcoming their customers at the revamped Colruyt Bornem on Wednesday 23 May. Sven Verhelst: "The evening before, on Tuesday 22 May from 5 to 8 pm, everyone is invited for a store preview. During this special open house, customers will be offered snacks and a drink. Everyone is most welcome!"
