Renovated and larger Colruyt reopens in Veurne

On Wednesday 31 March, the renovated Colruyt Lowest Prices reopens in Veurne. The store was completely revamped and is larger now. This means shopping comfortably and choosing from an even broader range of products. Renovation work considered sustainability so the renovated store is a low-energy store.

Choose from an even broader range of products

The Colruyt store in Veurne was completely reorganised and the store surface was expanded to 2,000 m². Store manager Siska Ryngaert: "A larger store means that we can offer a broader range of products, national brands as well as private labels. Customers can choose their fresh quality meat at the self-service butcher's department, where they see our qualified butchers at work in an open workshop. They cut and pack the fresh meat on the spot. If you have questions or a special order, you can simply ask them."

Collect&Go: quick and easy

The Collect&Go pick-up point was also reorganised and can now welcome more customers. Collect&Go is Colruyt Group's online shopping service. Customers send their shopping list to collectandgo.be or via the app, and the co-workers have their products ready at the pick-up point on the day and time of their choice.

Environment-minded

Colruyt always focuses on sustainability, so also when they renovated the store in Veurne. Colruyt Veurne is a low-energy store. A heat pump provides warm water so the store emits 99% fewer greenhouse gases. Moreover, we recover the heat from the cooling installation. This results in a good energy balance and a lower CO2 impact. The store has a spacious bicycle shed with room for extra wide bicycles such as carrier cycles. The car park is equipped with a charging post for electric cars.

Because of corona measures, there will not be an opening evening. Store manager Siska Ryngaert: "Come and discover the renovated Colruyt in Veurne and we prepare a small welcome gift. My team and I are looking forward to welcoming everyone safely in our store. For this reason, we are asking our customers to shop alone and to observe all government rules."

Colruyt Group unveils a brand-new scheme: families who train at Jims build up credit towards their fruit and veg at Colruyt
With the new Move & Save membership, Colruyt Meilleurs Prix and Jims combine physical activity and healthy eating in a single integrated package. For €14.99 a week, a family of up to three people can train as often as they like at Jims. If the family completes three training sessions during the week, they will receive €5 in Xtra shopping credit to spend on fresh fruit and vegetables. The scheme will launch on 15 September at Jims clubs in Ghent Rooigem, Hasselt and Nivelles, and the credit will be valid in all Colruyt stores.
