Renewed Spar Colruyt Group Moorsele reopens on 6 April

With an eye towards sustainability and an even greater focus on fresh

The renovated Spar Colruyt Group store in the centre of Moorsele will reopen on Thursday 6 April, after months of renovation works. The neighbourhood supermarket was completely renovated in the style of the latest generation of Spar stores, with particular attention to sustainability and an attractive interior. Sébastien Hoste and his parents Jean-Claude and Nathalie, the independent entrepreneurs of Spar Moorsele, can now focus even more on providing a pleasant shopping experience and on their wide range of fresh, quality products.

Renovation with an eye for sustainability

The renovated Spar store is ideally located in the centre of Moorsele. As from Thursday 6 April, after a five-week closure, loyal and new customers will again be able to visit the modernly designed neighbourhood supermarket where shopping convenience and sustainability go hand in hand. “Our store was severely outdated and no longer met the environmental requirements and energy standards that Colruyt Group adheres to nowadays", says Sébastien Hoste, who runs the Spar store in Moorsele with his parents Jean-Claude and Nathalie. “We want to do full justice to the green symbol in Spar's logo, so a thorough renovation was necessary.” The building was completely gutted, and both the exterior and interior were given a major overhaul. The store has gained a lot of energy efficiency through various measures including the installation of new cooling units with the lowest energy label, LED lighting and solar panels on the roof.

An even stronger focus on fresh

When deciding the new Spar local supermarket 's interior design, the focus was on customers' shopping convenience. The updated interior creates a more spacious and open feel, and the extensive range of quality products is displayed more logically and conveniently. With, of course, always a significant focus on fresh products. "We can now spotlight the bread and the products of the butcher's counter much better, and have given the catering and fruit and vegetable departments their own place", Sébastien Hoste enthuses. "In addition, you will find a wide range of local products such as potatoes from the local farmer, strawberries, the local beer Moorsele's Bukske, cut vegetables from 't Mandeke, Seppe's granola and Dries' pancakes. Products that are certainly worth a taste!"

Entrepreneurship runs in the family

Jean-Claude and Nathalie ran their own construction company for many years. Entrepreneurship is in their blood. Their son Sébastien also quickly caught the entrepreneurial bug and took special training to become an independent entrepreneur at Spar Colruyt Group. When Spar Moorsele was looking for a new store manager 7 years ago, he and his parents decided to take the plunge. Sébastien, Jean-Claude, Nathalie and their enthusiastic team are strongly committed to customer friendliness, service and a warm, cosy atmosphere. "Customers can of course always come to us for information and advice, but we just as happy to make time for a chat."

Opening weekend with nice promotions

As from Thursday 6 April, everyone can again do their shopping at Spar Moorsele. "We are very much looking forward to welcoming everyone to our newly revamped store. There will be plenty of great promotions to discover during the opening weekend. And everyone is welcome!", Sébastien concludes.
