Refurbished Spar Colruyt Group store in Nieuwpoort reopens on 4 June

On Thursday 4 June, Gregory Declerck will reopen his fully refurbished Spar Colruyt Group store on the Kaai in Nieuwpoort. The store has undergone a complete makeover and has been transformed into a contemporary Spar supermarket with a significantly expanded range, where experience, freshness and convenience take centre stage every day of the week.

Fresh, local and passionately managed

The new Spar store places a strong emphasis on fresh products and quality. One of the absolute highlights is the new artisan Cru bakery with house-risen dough, allowing customers to enjoy freshly baked bread rolls and golden-brown baguettes. “We also offer a strong range of local products,” says Gregory. “For example, we sell chocolate from Veurne, juices from Ypres, dairy products from local farms and Picon from Nieuwpoort.”

“With this store, we want to create a warm and welcoming place where customers can not only do their shopping, but also enjoy quality and flavour,” Gregory explains.

Comfortable shopping in the town centre, 7 days a week

The store will be open every day from 7.30 a.m. to 7 p.m., including Sundays and public holidays. Its location on the Kaai and the underground car park beneath the store ensure easy access for local residents, tourists and second-home owners alike. The combination of a compact store with an extensive product range offers both convenience and time savings.

Experienced local team

The store will open with a team of 11 permanent staff members, all from the local area. Gregory is supported by his wife Christy, who already manages a Spar store in Koksijde.

“We are now working together with five Spar stores: Ypres, Wervik, Koksijde, Wenduine and now Nieuwpoort as well,” Gregory continues. “This creates additional expertise, strength and shared know-how.”

Festive reopening

The reopening on Thursday 4 June will be celebrated with several tastings, promotions and a food truck serving fries. During the opening week, customers will be able to enjoy tastings hosted by local partners. On Saturday 6 June, a festive opening reception will take place between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
