On Wednesday 11 December, Bio-Planet will open its 39th store in Oudenaarde. This new location offers customers an extensive assortment of healthy, organic and sustainable products. As with all other Bio-Planet stores, the product range perfectly aligns with a modern, conscious lifestyle, focusing on making healthy and balanced choices for every dietary preference.
The new Bio-Planet store, located at Achter de Wacht 2, combines a sustainably designed building with an innovative facade design. The facade is currently being planted with as much greenery as possible, including climbing plants and insect hotels. From spring onwards, this tiled garden will develop into a lush, green wall. This initiative, developed in cooperation with the city, aligns perfectly with Bio-Planet’s mission to green not just their stores, but also their surroundings.
Sustainability is also a key focus in the store's interior. For example, the existing LED lighting has been reused and adjusted where necessary, with energy efficiency in mind. The former store premises have been revitalised through smart renovations, with a bicycle charging point installed for added convenience.

Spanning an area of 634 m², the store offers a wide variety of pure and natural products, catering to all tastes and dietary needs. There is a wide selection of fibre-rich products, protein-rich products, gluten- and lactose-free products, sugar-free or low-sugar products, veggie and vegan products, and more.
New to the range are Belgian flowers and plants that are completely free from chemicals. Through this, Bio-Planet adds a touch of greenery to its customers' weekly shopping.
The enthusiastic team at the new store is ready to inspire and assist customers in making sustainable choices. Ahmed Mohamed Omar, the manager of Bio-Planet Oudenaarde, is supported by assistant Wouter Audooren and a team of permanent co-workers and student workers.
