A more pleasant shopping experience
Needless to say, the works will cause some nuisance to customers, so we have decided to open a second store nearby. Christophe Gillet, the store manager, explains, “We want our customers to continue to do their grocery shopping at Colruyt in a comfortable setting. Therefore, we have decided to open a second store in Auderghem, at chaussée de Wavre 1805, just 3 km from the existing Colruyt. ”
Busy times ahead
The manager explains what the works will entail. “To extend the existing Colruyt store, we have no other option but to carry out excavation works, which will have an impact on part of the store and the underground car park. As a result, we will be reducing the retail area and the number of parking spaces. Initially, the store will remain open, only to close for one to two weeks in January. The store will be renovated according to the 4th generation Colruyt model and will close again from late May to September 2020. ”
A complete range over 750 m²
The Colruyt store in Auderghem offers customers a range of staples, both food and non-food, by both in-house and national brands. The manager explains, “Since the store is not very large, we had no choice but to reduce the number of brands on offer. That being said, our customers will still find all their staples at the best prices in the region. ” He also adds, “There is no butchery at our temporary store, but we will be selling fresh meat cut in practical portions and pre-packed by our butchers at the Colruyt store in Woluwe. The meat will be transported to us in flawless hygienic conditions and without breaking the cold chain. Customers can find it in the cold aisle.”
Convenient parking
When you go grocery shopping, easy parking is a must. No need to worry if you are heading to the temporary store at chaussée de Wavre, because it has 32 parking spots. The manager explains, “The temporary store has 21 covered parking spots and another 11 spots outside. ”
