Opening of a brand new Colruyt store in Saint-Servais

A functional and sustainable store

Halle, 2 February 2026

On Wednesday 4 February 2026, a new Colruyt Lowest Prices store, including a Collect&Go pick-up point, will open its doors at 480 Chaussée de Waterloo in Saint-Servais. The building has been designed to ensure the most efficient shopping experience possible. In addition to a wide range of fresh and frozen products, the store includes a state-of-the-art butcher’s counter and a modern bread section. Particular attention was paid to the sustainability of the infrastructure.

1,425 m² of lowest prices

In the new Colruyt Lowest Prices store in Saint-Servais by the car park behind the post office, customers will find 1,425 m² of retail space offering a wide assortment of quality products, from major brands to private labels, at the lowest prices. The store layout is designed to make the shopping experience as efficient as possible. Store manager Maxime Léonet explains: “Our state-of-the-art butcher’s counter has refrigerators with see-through doors where you can find high-quality fresh meat as well as charcuterie. Customers can see our skilled butchers at work in an open workshop, which makes it easier to communicate in case of questions or specific orders.” Customers can choose from a fine selection of fruit and vegetables, vegetarian products and fish in the fresh food section. The modern bread section, offering both fresh and pre-packed bread, is also well worth discovering.

Collect&Go: convenience, speed and ease

Customers who prefer to shop online via collectandgo.be or the Xtra app can collect their shopping at the new Collect&Go pick-up point in Saint-Servais. Orders are prepared by store workers and can be collected at the time chosen by the customer.

Sustainable choices at every step

Colruyt Group consistently prioritises sustainable construction and the Saint-Servais store is no exception. The building has LED lighting and motion sensors, resulting in energy savings of nearly 30%. Photovoltaic panels allow the store to generate its own electricity. The store recovers no less than 75% of the heat emitted by the refrigeration units via the ventilation system to heat the store. In addition, the installation uses propane as a refrigerant, which reduces the CO₂-related environmental impact by almost 90%. Thanks to all these measures, the store has an excellent energy performance.

The car park also reflects this sustainable approach with 57 parking spaces, eight extra-wide bicycle racks and two charging stations for four electric vehicles. And finally, the parking spaces are fitted with permeable paving stones that allow water to drain away easily.

Open evening and welcome discounts

Store manager Maxime Léonet concludes: “Together with my team of 13 store workers and four butchers, we're looking forward to welcoming our customers. Everyone is invited to a pre-opening of the store and to join us for a drink at our open evening on Tuesday 3 February from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Everyone is welcome!”
