Opening of a brand-new Colruyt in the Stockel Square Shopping Center

On Wednesday, 19 November 2025, a new Colruyt Lowest Prices store opens its doors at Rue de l'Église in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, in the Stockel Square Shopping Center. The building has been designed so that customers can shop there as efficiently as possible. In addition to a wide range of fresh and frozen products, the store has a latest-generation butcher’s section and a modern bread stand. When fitting out the store, particular attention was paid to the sustainability of the facilities.

A store designed to offer a unique shopping experience

At Stockel’s new Colruyt Lowest Prices store, customers can take advantage of the 1,446 m² of retail space to choose from a very wide range of quality products, both major brands and their own brands, and always at the lowest prices. The in-store route is designed to make the shopping experience as pleasant and efficient as possible. Store Manager Victor Van Nieuwenhove explains: “Our latest-generation butcher’s section is equipped with closed, transparent refrigerators. You’ll find quality fresh meat and a full range of charcuterie there. You can see our qualified butchers at work in an open workshop, which makes it easier to communicate if you have any questions or specific orders.” The modern bread stand offering fresh, pre-packaged bread is also well worth a visit.

Special focus on sustainability

Colruyt Group is committed to sustainable construction. For Colruyt in Stockel, this theme was also a key focus. The building is equipped with LED lighting with motion detectors, saving almost 30% in energy. For heating, the store recovers no less than 75% of the heat emitted by the refrigeration systems via the ventilation system. What’s more, this installation uses propane as its refrigerant, reducing the CO₂ footprint by almost 90%. As a result, the store has received an excellent energy rating.

Open evening on Tuesday 18 November

Store Manager Victor Van Nieuwenhove concludes: “My team of 14 store personnel and four butchers and I can’t wait to welcome our customers. We’re inviting them to get a sneak preview of the store at our open evening on Tuesday, 18 November, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome!”
