On Thursday 23 April, Jordy Vanderlinden and Sanne Brosius will open a brand-new Spar Colruyt Group store on Turnhoutsebaan in Mol, which will be open 7 days a week. The entrepreneurial couple bring with them their experience from the delicatessen shop they have been running in Retie for the past two years. That shop will remain open, as will their catering activities, which can now also be ordered and collected in Mol.
Fresh, Local and Family-oriented
The new Spar store places a strong emphasis on fresh products. Its three main strengths are the deli department, the butcher’s department and the bakery. "Spar's strong focus on fresh produce is exactly what we stand for. Combined with our grocery range, we ensure that customers can find everything they need with us,” say Jordy and Sanne. “We want to create a warm neighbourhood store with a passion for good food, where everyone feels welcome and where quality and service take centre stage. We offer a varied range across different price levels.”
The store operators will complement the wide product range with local specialities. “We are currently establishing the necessary contacts for this,” Jordy and Sanne explain enthusiastically.
A comfortable shopping experience
The store will be open every day from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and on Sundays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. These extensive opening hours, combined with a location where there is currently limited neighbourhood retail offer, and a spacious car park, promise added convenience for local residents.
The new Spar in Mol will start with a team of 12 employees, all from the local area, supplemented by flexi-job workers and students. In this way, the couple aims to provide a local and personal approach.
Festive opening
On Wednesday evening 22 April, an event will be organised for local residents, as well as family and friends. This will give them the opportunity to get to know the store and its employees. In addition, a leaflet with all practical information and attractive opening promotions will be distributed in the wider area.
