New Colruyt Store Opens in Oostkamp

On Wednesday 18 February 2026, Colruyt will open a brand-new store in Oostkamp, offering customers the lowest prices every day. ​ From 2 March, you will also be able to work out at Jims on this Colruyt Group site, and a Colruyt Group Academy will follow on 2 April. For the remaining retail space, the retailer found a partner in Gamma, which opens at the same time as the Colruyt store. Customers in Oostkamp can also enjoy the service of Collect&Go, choosing either to collect their groceries or have them delivered to their home. ​ The new store creates 38 new jobs.

1,805 m² of Lowest Prices

The new Colruyt store offers more than 1,800 m² of retail space. Store manager Evi De Geyter is looking forward to welcoming customers and helping them find their way around: "Thanks to our spacious store, my colleagues and I can offer a wide range of quality products at the lowest prices, with a choice between major brands and our own private labels. The optimised layout of the store ensures that customers can shop in a pleasant and efficient way.”

Colruyt Oostkamp ensures that customers can find everything under one roof, from freshly baked bread to a wide selection of high-quality fresh meat and ready-made meals. “Our butchers work in an open workshop, so they are easy to approach. Feel free to speak to them if you’d like to place a specific order or need a portion cut to size,” adds head butcher Erwin Treve.

Smart Checkout System

All checkouts in Colruyt Oostkamp are equipped with 'Easy Check-out', an innovative checkout system powered by artificial intelligence. Above each checkout, hangs an AI-enabled camera that automatically scans products as they are transferred from one trolley to another. This results in a faster checkout process
​and provides an ergonomic working environment for employees. With this technology, Colruyt is investing in smart innovations that enhance shopping comfort for customers, while making work more efficient and enjoyable for staff.

Collect or Home Delivery via Collect&Go

Customers who want to shop even more efficiently, can have their groceries prepared by reserving them via Collect&Go, Colruyt Group's online shopping service. Colruyt Oostkamp offers two options. customers can either collect their groceries at the in-store collection point or opt for home delivery. Deliveries are carried out by Drivers, local private couriers, who earn an extra income by delivering orders in their neighbourhood.

Ample parking

There are 199 parking spaces and 40 extra-wide bicycle racks for (cargo) bicycles. Electric cars can charge at the DATS24 charging area, equipped with 2 charging stations and 3 fast chargers. Offering around 10 charging points in total.

Extra Focus on Sustainability

The new Colruyt store in Oostkamp meets all of Colruyt Group’s sustainability standards, with particular attention to energy efficiency in terms of insulation, ventilation, lighting, cooling and heating. The store recovers residual heat from its cooling systems and generates its own energy through solar panels. Rainwater is collected and reused for cleaning, helping to reduce the load on the sewage system. Thanks to energy-efficient LED lighting with sensors, the store saves up to 30% in energy consumption.

Open Evening and Welcome Discounts

Store Manager Evi De Geyter: “Our team of 30 store employees and 8 butchers is really looking forward to welcoming our customers. Anyone who wishes can get a first look at the store before the official opening during a special open evening, which will take place on Tuesday 17 February from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. In the first few weeks, we will also treat customers to welcome discounts.
