Colruyt Lowest Prices at Gembloux reopens a renovated and more sustainable store

The Colruyt Lowest Prices store in Gembloux reopens its doors on Wednesday 1 December. We have completely revamped the store, expanding the butcher's department and the fresh market. Customers will enjoy a broader range of fresh products and an easier contact with the butchers who work in an open workshop. The store's Collect&Go pick-up point is larger now, which means it can welcome more customers.

Quick and efficient shopping

The Colruyt Lowest Prices store of Gembloux, located along rue de la Sucrerie, has been thoroughly renovated, and the fresh market and the butcher's department have been expanded. With the new layout, customers will be able to shop even more efficiently. Store manager Luc Cordonnier explains: "We are happy to welcome you in our completely revamped store. In the fresh market, you will discover a broader range of fruit and vegetables, cheese, prepared dishes and fish. For our fresh meat, you can always count on one of our 12 qualified butchers. From now on, they work in an open workshop making it easier to have contacts with our customers. Practical if you want to place a special order or ask information."

Collect&Go shops for the customers

Online reservations have more and more success. We have enlarged the Collect&Go pick-up point of the Colruyt in Gembloux to serve more customers. The store manager specifies: "Collect&Go is Colruyt Group's online shopping service. Customers send us their shopping list via collectandgo.be, the MyColruyt app or the Collect&Go app. Our co-workers prepare their products at the pick-up point by the selected time. This service helps our customers gain a lot of time."

Special focus on sustainability

During this renovation, we have taken sustainability into account. Colruyt invests in more efficiency and that is the case for its store in Gembloux as well. This supermarket has a system for recovering the residual heat from refrigeration installations, which reduces its greenhouse gas emissions by 90 %. We installed a charging post for electric vehicles on the car park and cyclists will find places to leave their bicycles and cargo bikes.

The Colruyt Gembloux team is ready

Considering the health situation, there will be no open evening when the store reopens. The store manager adds: "If you come and discover our renovated Colruyt store at Gembloux this week, we will have a small welcome gift for you. My 46 co-workers and I are eager to welcome you safely. For this reason, we want to ask you to observe all health precautions."
