Colruyt Group Academy is setting up in the Fervent City

On 19 September Colruyt Group Academy is opening a new Academy at 6 Boulevard Frankignoul 6, Liège. Colruyt Group Academy has had a presence in the Liège region since 2014, occupying several rooms in the Park Inn by Radisson hotel by Liège airport. The Academy has now decided to move to a brand new building on a site shared with the Bio-Planet store which opened on 19 June (Rue Bernimolin 1). The new Academy will offer customers a wider range of inspiring workshops. It will be opened with great fanfare on 19 September, in the presence of local residents.

Moving to a larger building

Colruyt Group Academy organises original and inspiring workshops for individuals and businesses and is continuing to expand. After opening a branch in Courtrai in the beginning of April, the Academy will consolidate its presence in Liège this autumn: it is to leave its Park Inn by Radisson premises opposite Liège airport to move into its brand new home in the city, ten kilometres from the airport. This much larger academy, with a surface area of 800 m², will be able to offer a wider range of workshops (over 200 in total) and accommodate up to 100 people at any one time.

New: cookery workshops

Making the most of the new building's two fully-fitted kitchens, Colruyt Group Academy will also organise cookery workshops. Aurélie Seutin, regional coordinator of the Liège Academy, says: 'Colruyt Group Academy has had a presence in the Liège region since January 2014 but its premises were not suitable for cookery workshops. That's now ancient history! The new academy is both easily accessible and near to the city centre. On top of that, it also offers free parking.' In total, Colruyt Group Academy has 19 kitchens and 47 rooms around the country (Jambes, Mons, Uccle, Grimbergen, Hal, Louvain, Courtrai, etc.).

An example of modern, environmentally-friendly construction

The academy's premises in Liège are in a new building that gives preference to environmentally-friendly methods. As with all of Colruyt Group's sustainable construction projects, several environmentally-friendly technologies have been incorporated, such as a propane refrigeration system and the use of rain water for toilets and outside taps. The air ventilation system recovers 75% of the heat in the ambient air.

Captivating workshops for young and old alike

Colruyt Group Academy offers workshops on a wide range of subjects for individuals and businesses. Children will enjoy the Academy's workshops such as 'How to mix like a DJ', 'Princess for a day' and 'Cooking, child's play'. The Academy also organises memorable birthday parties that have had great success with little people. Meanwhile, adults can opt for a master class in sewing, face painting, baby slings, aromatherapy and wine and gin tasting, among others... From 21 September, they will also be able to choose from a very wide range of cooking workshops, as delicious as they are inspiring.
