On Wednesday 26 October 2022 the Colruyt Lowest Prices store in Geraardsbergen will reopen its doors. The store at the Groteweg is completely renovated and reorganised with the necessary attention for sustainability. Customers can also still visit their familiar Collect&Go collection point there.
Broad assortment custom-made for the customer
Colruyt Vilvoorde is a spacious store with a large assortment of quality products, both from known and private labels (Boni Selection and Everyday). Store manager Arvid Luchtens: "Among other things, we have moved the store shelves in the fresh market to create more spacious passages. One now has extra space to shop and choose products quietly and smoothly." The butcher's department was reorganised as well and now has an open workshop where you can see the qualified butchers at work. This makes it easy to ask questions or place orders.
New sandwich corner
Thought is always being given to how grocery shopping can be even more efficient. That is why a so-called sandwich corner was organised in the renewed store. You will find not only bread there, but hot beverages and spreads as well. You can now also find the cold sliced meat that used to be in the fresh market in this 'corner'.
Sustainable choices, as always
At Colruyt Geraardsbergen as well, the focus was on sustainability. The energy-efficient led lights with sensors consume up to 30% less energy. Thanks to efficient isolation, ventilation, refrigeration and heating, the store has a good energy balance and we are able to lower the impact of CO2. In addition, there is a charging post for 2 electric cars and it is also possible to safely stall (cargo) bikes.
