Fresh meals can easily be ordered online and collected at Chefpoint Foodtruck and/or mobile kiosks
The new pilot project involves a food truck and three Chefpoint mobile kiosks in various locations (such as access roads, business parks, etc.). At these takeaway points, freshly prepared meals that simply need to be heated will be available. The meals can be ordered and paid for at https://chefpoint.collectandgo.be/, and then only need to be collected (which is possible on the day of the order), saving the customer time.
Tom De Prater, Business Unit Manager of Collect&Go states: "As a retailer we are constantly looking for tailor-made solutions to meet the needs of the customer, in a rapidly changing society. With this story, we want to reach people who value delicious and balanced food and who do not have much time to cook for themselves. For us, it is important to find the balance between three dimensions: freshness, convenience and price. And we are convinced that with Chefpoint, we have achieved this synergy".
With the Dutch slogans "Laat het (s)maken // Enjoy your prepped meal" and "De Motor van jouw evenwichtig leven // The engine of a balanced life", Chefpoint offers the customer a choice of balanced meals prepared by a chef. Tom De Prater adds: "Fresh ingredients, no added preservatives and mouth-watering recipes. The brands we sell have been personally tasted and tested by our Chefpointers. And with Rose Mary we learned that there is a demand and a market for these kinds of meals". Today, the meals of Rose Mary, Canteen and Tom & Della's, among others, can be found in the Chefpoint range.
De Chefpoint foodtruck can currently be found at Colruyt Nossegem from 12pm – 6pm, and the mobile kiosks are at the buildings of Colruyt Group in Louvain (Interleuvenlaan 17A, Louvain), OKay Herent (Mechelsesteenweg 635) and Colruyt Nossegem (Voskapellelaan 11 in Zaventem). Other locations will follow, which can be consulted on the website. After that, temporary locations that are easy to reach will be set up in Ghent and Antwerp.
