Collect&Go expands home delivery

Colruyt Group's online delivery service now delivers groceries to home in 78 additional communities

Collect&Go, Colruyt Group's online delivery service, has expanded its home delivery in Belgium by 78 municipalities. This expansion is most noticeable in East Flanders: almost all East Flemish families can now enjoy home delivery. To do so, Collect&Go relies on private Drivers.

In 2020, Collect&Go started home delivery in Ghent. Thanks to a strong growth, more than half of the Belgian families can already opt for this formula, which is today being further expanded in East Flanders, Flemish Brabant, West Flanders and Hainaut. New regions will be added later on.

Home delivery comes on top of the Collect&Go pick-up points, where every customer can collect his online booked groceries from Colruyt Lowest Prices or Bio-Planet at a convenient time.

"With the combination of home delivery and our nationwide network of more than 240 Collect&Go pick-up points, we offer our customers the flexibility they need today," says Tom De Prater, head of Collect&Go.

Collect&Go delivers at home thanks to private delivery Drivers. They deliver groceries to homes in their neighbourhood and receive compensation for doing so. They thus expand their local social network and help people in the neighbourhood.

Delivery at home thanks to Drivers was created as the demand for home delivery increased. Today, more than 5,000 Drivers are active. "The system is a form of sharing economy," explains Tom De Prater. "Drivers choose which orders they deliver."

To have groceries delivered to their home, customers pay a €7 contribution. This is in addition to €5.95 for preparing the groceries. By taking part in promotional campaigns, customers can be exempted from paying the contribution. This is offset by quality, service and a wide range of nearly 15,000 Colruyt products at the lowest online prices.
